Celine began her work in the field of odours, which became the crux of her MA thesis. These are figurative manifestations of the smell of friends and acquaintances, a translation of their scent rendered through a physically palpable medium. A visual representation of their smells. Like Rahme’s other works, these drawings seek to explore the boundaries between olfactory, visual and sensory. In addition to her academic and artistic efforts, Rahme is also the author of The Smelly Lily blog (wordpress), where she offers a variety of reviews, reflections and opinions on various perfumes and fragrances.
